February 2013 calendar with holidays

February 2013 Calendars

The month of Februaryis the second month of the year and the only month that has less than 30 days. In leap yearsit has 29 days, in other years 28 days. All other months have either 30 or 31 days. February's name derives from Februa, the name of the Roman purification festival held on the 15th, after which the Romans called February Februarius. Since February was originally the last month in the Roman calendar, leap days were added to this month - a rule that has survived to this day.
  • The zodiac signs for February are Aquarius (until about February 19*) and Pisces (from about February 20*).
  • February begins with the same day of the week as March and November in non-leap years, as August in leap years, and as June of the previous year in all years because there is never a leap day (February 29) between the two months.
  • In 2013 February starts on a Friday and ends on a Thursday.
